Choosing the right course depends on your role, experience, and work environment. Use the questions below to find the best training option.
Are you an Authorized or Competent Person?
An Authorized Person uses fall protection while working at height but doesn’t supervise others. A Competent Person can identify hazards, correct unsafe conditions, and oversee others. Your job duties determine which course is appropriate for you.
What’s the difference between Authorized Person and Authorized Person Advanced courses?
The Authorized Person Course covers basic fall protection, equipment uses, and hazard awareness. The Authorized Person Advanced course adds deeper training on fall protection systems, equipment selection, and complex job sites. The advanced course is better for those who need a deeper knowledge of fall protection.
Is the training for you or a group?
For individual training, open enrollment sessions are available at convenient locations. For groups or on-site needs, private sessions can be scheduled and tailored to your team.
What is required to earn Authorized or Competent Person certification?
You must meet the following requirements:
1. Attend the whole course.
2. Pass written and practical exams with 70% score or greater.
3. Demonstrate hands-on skills and a clear understanding of instruction.
