Course Description
The Certified Trainer Equipment Inspector Series prepares you to teach the FT-Xpert 4-hour Equipment Inspector course. You’ll start by taking the course as a student, gaining firsthand experience and essential knowledge of inspection standards. Then, you'll develop instructor skills: learning how to lead the course, guiding hands-on evaluations, and managing classroom discussions. By the end, you’ll be ready to confidently deliver effective, field-ready equipment inspection training.

Target Audience
This course is for individuals who train others to perform formal inspections of fall protection equipment. A basic understanding of fall protection is recommended to follow and apply inspection procedures effectively. If you’re new to fall protection, completing an Authorized Person course first is strongly encouraged.
Course Format
This course blends classroom learning with hands-on practice. You’ll work through trainer materials, lead inspection exercises, and practice teaching the course. With focused skill development and feedback, you'll be prepared to confidently deliver the FT-Xpert Equipment Inspector Course and train others in proper inspection techniques.
Course Materials
Each participant receives a complete instructor kit with everything needed to teach FT-Xpert fall protection courses. The kit includes trainer guides, course outlines, equipment lists, testing materials, and access to the FT-Xpert Presenter Tool. You’ll also get access to the FT-Xpert Trainer Hub for managing students and certifications, plus an initial supply of student workbooks for your first class.
Certification
Upon successful completion, you’ll earn a certificate to teach the FT-Xpert Equipment Inspector Course. Certification is valid for two years and can be renewed through a convenient, instructor-led online recertification session that updates both trainer and end-user credentials.
